Greenhouse Gas Emission and Actions Taken for Reduction
Due to greenhouse gas emissions leading to global climate change and warming, LEI has integrated ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) considerations into its corporate strategic vision and daily operations. LEI is committed to promoting low-carbon investments and innovation, aiming for sustainable development to enhance corporate competitiveness. By meeting the expectations of stakeholders and incorporating environmental and social justice concerns, LEI strives to create shared value and embark on a path towards low-carbon and renewable energy solutions.
Greenhouse Gas Emission
We aim to reduce our absolute CO₂e emissions by 50% by the year 2025. From 2020 to 2024, we reduced our absolute CO₂e emissions by 57.35%. The carbon emissions reduction target has been successfully exceeded.

Note 1:
Since 2009, the China plant has completed Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG inventories and obtained third-party verification for the first time in 2010. Since then, it has consistently met its self-defined carbon reduction targets and passed third-party verification annually.
Note 2:
The Taiwan and Philippines plants also completed Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG inventories in 2024, and third-party verification is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Employees are provided with pertinent training sessions aimed at fortifying their environmental mindset.
Following LEI's commitment to green policies, employees participate in training sessions to reinforce their environmental awareness and ensure the thorough implementation and promotion of associated measures. For example, the company continuously enhances production techniques, replaces high energy-consuming equipment, and reduces material waste to achieve greater efficiency.
Actions that China site has accomplished to go greener.
- Road lamps are replaced with LED Solar energy ones.
- Distrbuted power of Solar energy facility is built on the roof top of the sites' building to fulfill the need of power generation.
- Traditional type of lighting are phased out and LED tubular lamps are equipped.
- Unreasonable energy consumption are figured out on a regulary basis and better energy management is in placed by applying LEI's energy management online system.
- Way to drive the air conditioning tower cooling is changed from motor heat dissipation to hydraulic drive.
- Air conditioning is now with higher enery efficiency. It is classified as China Energy Level One.
- Diesel fork lift trucks are no longer used, electrical ones are in place instead.
