LEI New Energy Partners with Cold Electric to Develop a 40MW Domestic Energy Storage Project.
Despite challenges in the domestic energy storage market, LEI New Energy, a subsidiary of the LEI Group, is moving forward with its vision by partnering with Cold Electric to co-develop a 40MW E-dReg energy storage project. The project is scheduled to begin construction in Q4 2023 and is expected to be completed by Q4 2025.
This collaboration leverages LEI New Energy’s extensive expertise in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and Cold Electric’s domestically produced energy storage systems. As a leading lithium iron phosphate battery manufacturer, Cold Electric is led by Wang Kuei-Yun, the eldest daughter of Formosa Plastics Group founder Wang Yung-Ching. By using Cold Electric’s advanced energy storage systems, the project will exclusively feature domestically produced batteries, reinforcing the local supply chain and supporting Taiwan’s green energy goals.
